About Us

Education Research Center (ERC) at Texas A&M University studies major issues in education reform and school governance in order to improve policy and decision-making in P-16 education. The ERC's interdisciplinary team of researchers investigates the nature and impact of school resources and educational practices that affect students' learning and close the achievement gap. In support of its mission, the ERC conducts research in three areas:

(a) educator preparation;

(b) school finance, resources, and facilities; and

(c) curriculum and teaching methods.

Mission Statement

The mission of the ERC is to investigate the nature of school resources and educational practice and examine their impact on student learning and achievement gaps in order to improve P-16 educational policy and decision-making.
