TAMU STEM Collaborative for Teacher Professional Learning (STEM Collaborative)

Aggie STEM and the ERC in the School of Education and Human Development, along with the Center for Mathematics and Science Education (CMSE) and the Dwight Cook College of Engineering have established the STEM Collaborative for Teacher and Professional Learning.
In addition to providing high-quality STEM professional development for in-service teachers, the STEM Collaborative will conduct a synthesis of research on STEM best practices to supplement the professional development component of the project.
Findings from literature and practices that evolve as a result of the project will be communicated to:
- Teacher educators,
- IHE faculty, and
TAMU Educator Preparation Collaborative for Enhancing College and Career Readiness in Texas Schools (TAMU Collaborative)
The purpose of the TAMU Collaborative is to prepare P-16 education professionals to assist students in meeting college and career readiness as well as workforce expectations and standards. The project plan is based on a conceptual model for the establishment of networks of cooperating P-16 education organizations that support enhanced teacher preparation programs at institutions of higher education.
The goals of the TAMU Collaborative are:
- To improve educator preparation programs among partner IHEs.
- To assist schools in implementing college and career readiness standards in an effort to better prepare students for college.
